Okay, so I woke up at five AM this morning, and it wasn't light out (which was a complete and total surprise) and the only thing I could really think about is the fact that, in one day, I'm going to have to (on five hours of sleep, mind,) ace a geometry test, take a geometry quiz, tell all of my friends I will be available neither on instant-messaging nor by phone for two weeks, make my room look presentable, clean poop off the floor (Imma fucking kill that dog we just cleaned those carpets,) get rid of my sailor mouth and my tendency to spout random Japanese phrases if given the opportunity, and welcome a foreign exchange student into my house. Oh, and steel myself to the fact that that means no gay man porn for two weeks. (Joy.)

This is going to be an adventure, I can tell you. We still just have so much to do - right now I'm just waiting out a pocket of time that is slower (probably because it's already 87 degrees outside, and it's 6:30 AM in the fucking morning.) I mean, I just don't know if I'm nervous (but I probably am) or excited (which I probably am too) or if that episode of the Closer last night just made me jittery. (I mean, come on, a severed head in a dumpster? That's remotely traumatizing.) At any rate we're all just kind of rushing around like chickens with our heads cut off, trying to figure out howto fit all we have left to do into the miniscule amount of time we have left to do it in. (I mean, my biggest dilemma at the moment is if I look presentable - do I ever look presentable? - and if that'll last me until the end of the day - I doubt it.)

I just hope I can do this, you know? ...and I really, really hope we get along.

I have pretty much nothing to say, except that I really hope Ms. Harris doesn't notice that I cheated on my math test, because I only cheated a little, and I didn't cheat all the way, anyway. I mean, I had the answer right the first time around, so all I did was erase the other answer I got and circle the original one. I still did the work. (And I worked damn hard on that test. I deserve credit for that problem.)

Now, the only thing I really have to say about summer school is that it is pretty much no fun at all. I mean, in school you have several chances to pass and fail, so you can afford to have multiple personalities in order to sit with the people you'd like to. Having only one class to attend, that's really hard. (I'd forgotten that - Churchill was just a downgraded highschool, anyway, so I haven't had a single teacher for five hours five days a week for several years now. It's pretty agitating, now that I'm not a little kid and I neither feel guilty lying about things, nor am I bad at it. I just change my story alot because, in my head, it gets just that much more credible every time I do. With one teacher, that's kind of dangerous. You have to come right out off the bet with the best version, otherwise you get caught. And getting caught still sucks. That much certainly hasn't changed.)

At any rate, there's a bit too much compressed into each day which makes it all the less enjoyable, if at all survivable, because, honestly, I won't remember any of this after I pass, which is what I plan to do. (If I don't pass, I won't be able to stay in MYP, and not staying in MYP isn't an option after being in it for four years. I'm not about to let myself fail.) I really, really don't want to ever take anything like this ever again; having already passed Algebra (thrice) I'm relatively sure I'll be able to balance my check book with some adequacy when I get older. I'm not sure what anything about trigonometry (that seems strangely and sporatically placed anyway) will do for me in the real world, and if you have thoughts on that, you'll keep them to yourself, because you'll know I don't care to hear about them. (Save wisdom for those wise enough to listen - you'll get further.)

I don't have homework tonight, and this time I'm not just lying to my mother when I say that - I really don't have any homework today, which of course means that said single parent whose house I coinhabit has reminded me that we must thoroughly clean aformentioned house before Uebayashi Minami-san arrives. After all, Izzy pissed on the carpet last week (not my fault at all, actually), and Mom's had to take money out of my college fund to pay for the carpet to get cleaned on Friday. And carpet cleaners don't clean under furniture, and since they aren't being paid to move it, they won't - that's apparently our job. (Remind how much we're paying these guys, and for what exactly? Sure it reeks in the living room - to the point where my eyes burn - but none of us actually live there. What really reeks is these guys' policies and definition of the word 'service.' Have you ever seen my house? This will take FOREVER.)

Of course, so long as I don't have to do it now I'm okay, I guess. Although, I am kind of a little - how you say - soaking wet, from cleaning the screenroom for two hours. (Two hours during which, of course, I missed the long awaited arrival of Shisui-mun, who has yet to return, since.) And I've been trying to upload a picture I took with the camera from my cell phone onto the computer - one of the ones I took with Patsy at the mall - and it won't work, which makes me very angry, but briefly so.

And Sam's playing pinball...? Some guilty pleasure that is, man. Your life is probably significantly more interesting than mine, at the moment. (Or, at the very least, is scoring higher.)
